Your general Sign of the Times questions answered
General
Sign of the Times Festival was conceived as an effort by a group of promoters and music lovers, to deliver first-class quality entertainment, from sensational recording artists, and at a great price!
We're fans ourselves and want to see live music remain as accessible as possible to everyone, which is why we keep our prices as low as possible, for such brilliant line-ups!
After a fantastic first 2 years, Sign of the Times is back on 16th and 17th June 2023 and will bring you a diverse range of legends from rock, indie, blues, new wave, folk-punk and more, and all across two big stages - one outdoors and a second stage in a huge big top.
As well as two stages of great music, there will be a number of licensed bars serving a great range, and food from all over the globe and we will be increasing the range of food and drink available in 2023.
Parking is FREE and upon your arrival, our Stewards will direct you to the appropriate parking area. VIP Arena ticket-holders will have access to a separate parking area even closer to the event.
There's a camping option in a picturesque setting, right next door to the music arena with Weekend Camping tickets offering you the chance to stay and party and not worry about how to get home at night!
New for 2023 are our VIP Camping and Glamping options. Scroll down this page to the camping section for full details.
If you've never seen a great line up of legendary bands and artists like this - now's your chance! It's all here for you and join us for a unique live music event.
Each attendee can bring a small bottle of water or soft drink up to 500ml, if it remains sealed as bought. Free drinking water will be available at points throughout the festival, so you can bring an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle to the event for water refills. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event.
Any person with specific dietary requirements can inform us in advance and where suitable options aren’t available on site, we will give dispensation to bring suitable food to the event. Personal picnics are also permitted into the event, upon arrival, but no metal/glass utensils or cool boxes, for safety and security reasons. Further take away food cannot be brought in during the event. We will have a wide choice of caterers who will be very reasonably priced.
Please note, to allow time for security bag searches, we are operating a 'no big bags policy', so no large rucksacks or bags, are permitted. Only small rucksacks/bags with length/width dimensions approximately no larger than a piece of A4 paper, can be brought into the music arena.
Certainly! Sign of the Times is a family friendly event and children of all ages are welcome! Tickets are available for age groups 14-17 and 5-13. Under 5's are free and do not need a ticket. Dogs, kept on leads at all time, are allowed into the festival and camp sites. There will be dog waste disposal points located in the music and camp sites. For their welfare, however, we would request that they are not exposed to long periods of loud music near the stage.

Covid Safety Info
Covid is creating a rapidly evolving landscape for events in the UK. The roadmap gives the go ahead for outdoor live events and festivals in the UK but our team, like most, are planning a series of comprehensive safety measures to ensure that public safety and specifically Covid-19 safety is of the utmost importance.
We will fully comply with any requirements in place linked to NHS Test and Trace, as well as any subsequent requirements to demonstrate proof of recent negative tests. We expect that it is likely that everyone may need proof of a recent negative test to enter festivals this summer, though persons fully vaccinated may be exempted from this requirement. We will react swiftly to any further changes to requirements or legislation and keep customers fully informed of this and all other steps that we are taking to ensure that the safety of our customers is not compromised in any way.
We will also be ensuring that a dedicated team of trained cleaners are providing regular and thorough deep cleaning of all commonly touched items, toilets, tables, bar surfaces etc. There will be ample hand sanitiser and disinfectants available and customers will be readily encouraged to make frequent use of these facilities.

Tickets Info
Using a tiered system, each standard ticket gets full event access, but those purchasing earlier will definitely get the best price. The initial Early Bird price will be THE cheapest ticket available at any time for Sign of the Times Festival and the Early Bird allocation will run for the first two months on sale.
All Prices are subject to Booking Fee. As each allocation nears sell out, we will make announcements on social media and our web site, before the next allocation is released.
Due to strictly limited numbers for the 2023 festival, and the popularity of the event, we expect Sign of the Times to sell out well in advance.
Before the festival day, you can buy tickets from this website using a debit or credit card, such as VISA or MASTERCARD. Tickets are emailed electronically to you immediately after your purchase, so please enter your email address accurately.
Tickets for Sign of the Times Festival will be released in tiers containing a pre-determined allocation of tickets. When each tier, sells out, the following tier becomes available at a new price. There will be announcements on the website and social media before each tier is due to sell out.
We can guarantee that the initial Early Bird price launched will be THE cheapest tickets available at any time for the Festival.
We expect Sign of the Times Festival to probably sell-out in advance (the event has a set capacity determined for safety reasons), but in the unlikely event that there are any non-camping tickets remaining (as we expect camping to sell out well in advance due to limited numbers), they would be available to purchase on the day at gate prices.
There are no discounts for our disabled visitors, but the festival has full disabled facilities. If you are accompanying a cared-for person who has a ticket, we will issue you a free complimentary Carer ticket to ensure that you are able to fully assist them throughout their visit. Simply email us via our Contact page or at info@signofthetimesfestival.co.uk.
We will ask you to show some carers ID or a blue badge for the person requiring assistance to ease the transition at the entrance and allow our security to correctly identify you as a person who should be in possession of the free ticket.
Children aged 5-13 and 14-17 qualify for tickets at a reduced price.
Children ages 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket.
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible ticket-holding adult aged 21+.
Tickets are automatically emailed electronically to you, two weeks before the event. If you can't find your tickets please contact us on info@signofthetimesfestival.co.uk or using the Contact page, confirming the details of your ticket order (name and email address) and we will use these to find your booking.

We want people to enjoy their time at the festival to the fullest, and that means great camping facilities, but we must balance this against safety requirements and good practice. To that end, our advice on BBQs, Camping Stoves and Fires is set out below:
- Open fires are permitted only in fireproof containers clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
- BBQs are permitted only when clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
- Camping Stoves are permitted, and we wholeheartedly encourage people to use either solid or liquid fuelled options which are not only much safer but more environmentally friendly too.
- If you use a gas canister supplied stove (butane etc) please ensure that you bring only the minimum amount of gas required for your stay and both always use and store these items appropriately.
- All fires / stoves must always be used an appropriate distance from any tents. At least 1m is essential and over 2m for any form of open fire or BBQ.
- Security will prevent any improper use of fires, BBQs or stoves and person who fail to follow these basic safety steps risk their items being seized and/or being ejected from the Festival.
Please enjoy, but do so sensibly and safely, thank you.
